Physiotherapy works as a partnership between you (the client) and the physiotherapist (our team).
There are all sorts of things that physio can help with, but the common theme is that you (the client) will have a goal that you want physio to help with - this might be reduction in pain from a chronic condition, return to work or sport following injury or immediate help with an acute problem.
Your physio will help you define your goals so they are tangible and you will know when you have achieved them, what milestones you will reach along the way, what your role in reaching these milestones may be (for example doing your prescribed exercises) what treatments are available to help you and timescales.
You, and your personal goals will be central to the whole process. It’s not a passive therapy, the more you engage, the more successful your outcome will be.
